CHIKWE EDOZIEM – Chairman – Geoscientist BSc, FNAPE, 41 years’ experience
Chikwe is a retired petroleum professional with over 40 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry. During his time with ExxonMobil, he worked across various locations where he held positions of increasing Technical Supervisory and Managerial responsibility and specialization, working in both Exploration and Production portfolios in Dallas, Houston and Nigeria. He was elected to the Board of Directors of Mobil Producing Nigeria and joined the Company’s Leadership Council in April 2007. He retired from ExxonMobil in 2015 after serving as the Executive Director and General Manager, (ESSO & MPN) Exploration.
Prior to that, Chikwe worked in Shell Petroleum Development Company as the Coastal Swamp Team Seismologist with wide a range of seismic interpretations and mapping, onshore and offshore Niger Delta. He also spent 5 years in GEOTREX Systems Limited (a pioneer indigenous Oil and Gas Consulting firm) as the company’s senior seismologist and geophysical advisor. He led various technical and business initiatives that resulted in several new field discoveries or field extensions in Shell as well as while working as GEOTEX consultant for Texaco.
Chikwe has been with Petrosmart Consult team for 4yrs and providing technical compass. He has also steered the team in various A&D transactions including during their participation in the acquisition of ARC Oil & Gas, OPL281 transaction and the 2020 Marginal Field Licensing Bid Round.
He is Chief Executive Officer of DVORA Consults Limited; a company that undertakes asset pursuit, capture and management, including asset valuation, inventory management while providing general and technical consultancy/advice to various oil and gas companies in Nigeria including viz Kenda Capital, Ten Oil, Transcorp, HALLWOOD, OBAX.
Chikwe is also director of GVI and on the board of two operating indigenous oil companies – ARC Oil & Gas Limited and Alliance Producing Nigeria Limited.
He holds a BSc in Geology from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria he is also a member of Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG); Nigeria Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS); the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and a Fellow Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (FNAPE) where he served as President in 2015.
