Engr. Richard Chinedu, MBA is a seasoned oil and gas professional with over thirty (30) years experience. He has led the development of several multi-billion dollar oil and gas developments for Total E&P, Shell E&P and small Indigenous Operators across Africa, Europe and the USA. His experience spans oil and gas appraisal & development, project delivery, production operations, in onshore, swamp, shallow water and deepwater environments; strategy development, business planning & performance management.

Some of the roles he has played include Project Manager for gas supply to the Shell IA and the Rivers State Ministry of Power Power Plant in Rivers State Nigeria, Chief Engineer for the multi-billion dollar Gbaran Ubie Integrated Oil and Gas Project in Nigeria, Development Integration Manager for multi-billion dollar Vito deepwater development in the US Gulf of Mexico, Corporate Strategy and Planning Manager for Shell Sub-Saharan Africa, General Manager Engineering & Projects and Deputy to Executive Director Operations for Heritage Energy.

As the Chief Operating Officer for Petrosmart Consult, he focus on finding and screening opportunities from buyers or sellers perspectives, valuation of oil and gas assets, analysing PSCs and Acquisition & Divestments (A&D), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including creation of information memorandum, project economic evaluation, investment pitch, fund raising, leading technical commercial due diligence, and project consulting.

Chinedu holds a bachelor of engineering degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka and an MBA degree from the University of Houston USA.
