Dr Umar Ngala is a highly experienced Geoscientist Consultant with over 15 years of hands-on extensive experience in running Exploration, Development and Production of oil and gas projects in Africa including the Niger delta, West African transform margin, Ghadames basin, Ilizi basin, and Rharb basin. He has acquired several years of Exploration, Appraisal/ Development, and operational and new business experience in the industry including managing field development programs, drilling activities, new business opportunity screening and technical evaluations, investment drive, risk assessment, technical and commercial due diligence, Competent Persons Report and seismic programs.
He worked as a Senior Geoscience consultant to Oriental Energy Resources, PetroVision Services, Energy Equity Resources, Caithness Petroleum, Global Petroleum and Hallwood Energy.
Dr Umar Ngala graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a PhD in Structural Geology, an MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from Oxford Brookes University and a BSc in Geology from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. Also, with Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London.
He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, (AAPG), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB). He has written various technical papers in international journals and has attended several technical and management programmes in the United Kingdom, United State and Nigeria.
