Dr. Isaac is a seasoned petroleum engineer and analyst with 30years of diverse oil & gas industry experience including upstream (E&P) and service sector exposures. He has extensive technical and commercial experience as wellsite engineer with Schlumberger and petroleum engineer with Shell International. Dr. Kelechi has participated, initiated and led numerous upstream transactions in both Nigerian and North American space and has also distinguished himself on matters relating to petroleum policy. His private sector background coupled with his public sector experience as project manager who led the last NNPC restructuring program altogether distinguishes him in A&D and M&A related affairs.
Dr Kelechi holds BEng in Mechanical Engineering from University of Nigeria Nsukka, MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh and PhD in Petroleum Economist from University of Port-Harcourt Nigeria. As petroleum policy expert, he possessed good knowledge of Nigerian fiscal regimes (old & new), oil & gas contracts, transactional structures, change management and has published dozens of articles in risk-based valuation of petroleum assets, asset retirement obligations (abandonments), oilfield technologies, produced water control and produced water management. Having worked in over 14 different countries around the world, he has demonstrable ability to guide investors and licensees leveraging his hands-on technical, management and consulting capacities. Dr. Kelechi is someone that understands the Nigerian upstream environment and the market players very well. He also knows what it takes to extract front-end value in transactions both from investor and licensee perspectives.
